Her eye for design was evident long before Blue Haven. Devan built and managed a thriving client book as a licensed cosmetologist, running her business simultaneously across two markets — San Diego, California and Lynchburg, Virginia — a feat that required the same organizational discipline and client relationship skills that define her work today. She stepped away from that career intentionally to raise a family, channeling those same gifts into homeschooling three children and building a home life that reflects her values.

Devan and Dalton's story is inseparable from the firm's. The two met in high school, married shortly after graduation, and at just 19 years old made a deliberate choice to build something of their own — on their own terms. That founding spirit is very much alive in Blue Haven today.

As Co-Founder and Director of Design and Renovations, Devan oversees the aesthetic and functional transformation of Blue Haven's portfolio properties — from renovation planning through final staging. Her abilities were put to the test early: it was Devan's vision and hands-on skill that drove the successful renovation and sale of the couple's first two investment properties, establishing a blueprint for the value-add approach Blue Haven employs across its portfolio today. Her ability to see potential in a space, manage the details of a project, and create environments that resonate with buyers and tenants is a direct and material contributor to the firm's value creation strategy.
